Samantha (a.k.a Sam/Sammy) is a qualified Marketing Manager who prior to Chill Out! spent the past 15 years working in Marketing departments for a variety of IT clients and specialist marketing agencies. 

Before setting up Chill Out! Sam was Marketing Manager for Business Objects; a position she held for over 5 years until falling pregnant with twins – both beautiful girls as it happens!

Her time at Business Objects afforded the opportunities to run a huge number of internal & external events including a 15 location back-to-back road-show covering the whole of the UK; an executive management conference and exhibition for 600 delegates and numerous seminars and dinners.

She also organised her team taking the entire company of 400 people to Dublin & Paris for Kick-Off meetings - which was certainly a challenge! 

Having taken 2 years out of ‘corporate life’ to raise a family, she teamed up with friend of many years Julie Binding. Both wanting to ‘chill out’ they pooled their skills and set-up on their own. The rest, as they say, is history…..!

 

JULIE BINDING – Profile

Position:	Founder & Director
Likes:	Winning business, wining & dining, laughing until she cries
Dislikes:	Horses, beetroot, flock wallpaper in hotels & bad service anywhere

Julie has worked in the Thames Valley in the IT and Telecoms industries since 1980.  She spent 15 years working for Digital Equipment and during that time she managed the Educational Services administration teams which organised a variety of technical and non technical events, for Customers and internal staff.

Most latterly as Commercial Manager she was responsible for the issue and renewal of service contracts for London and the South of England.

She then spent two years at Energis Telecommunications creating and running their contract renewal and up-selling team; winning the annual Sales Manager incentive trip to Monte Carlo!

After moving back to England following living in Boston, USA for nearly two years, Julie ran a call centre for a year and whilst her people were fantastic, the work was not what she wanted to do.  She got together with her great friend Sam Stirrup who was also questioning ‘what to do next’ and Chill Out! was born, she has never looked back!

Julie is married and has two wonderful, grown up daughters.
